Vaccinations
- QTHC has a full panel of immunizations against all vaccine preventable illnesses.
- The pre-travel consultation is a good opportunity to make sure travelers are up-to-date on their routine vaccines as well as determining recommended or required travel-related vaccines. Clinicians will reference age appropriate immunization schedules for routinely recommended vaccines (regardless of travel) such as Diphtheria, Tetanus, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Polio, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Influenza, etc.
- Depending on many factors including destination, several common vaccines considered for travelers include:
- Typhoid Fever
- Meningococcal
- Rabies
- Hepatitis A
- Hepatitis B
- Japanese Encephalitis
- Polio (Adult Booster)
- Some countries require travelers to carry proof of vaccination or an International Certificate of Vaccination of Prophylaxis (ICVP) to enter the country. Requirements do change regards Yellow Fever vaccine (country-specific) and Meningococcal vaccine for pilgrims entering Saudi Arabia for Hajj.
